Pasta with Caramelized Cabbage
For the Austrian race this year I made Pasta with Caramelized Cabbage and a lovely Gugelhupf Cake. The pasta was unfortunately, I would say, another miss. The cabbage was too sweet and there was not a lot of balance. I added a lot of pepper which helped and even splashed on some vinegar which also helped balance the dish a bit but not quite enough for my taste preference. I think for me I just don’t prefer sweet main dishes, but if you do, this is an easy, fast recipe (and cheap)!
The cake on the other hand was a lovely dense cake, almost like a pound cake. Perfect with a dark cup of coffee for an afternoon break.
