Saudi Arabia GP 2022: Muhammara
For the Saudi GP we made Muhammara, a walnut-red pepper dip with smoky spices and a swirl of yogurt served with flatbread.
Muhammara is a great addition to a mezze spread. If you want a full table we have a few recipes on the blog you can check out! Falafel, Hummus, Za'atar Spiced Nuts, Whipped Feta Spread, Sabzi Khordan (Fresh Herb & Feta Plate), Spinach Borani, Chopped Salad with Feta and Yogurt, and even Halloumi Bites and Middle Eastern Pomegranate Salad.
To be totally honest, we were not looking forward to this race based on the literal chaos of last year’s race in Jeddah, but we tried to keep an open mind especially with drivers stating they enjoy driving on the track. Qualis did not help the case with Mick’s scary accident. But… the race redeemed itself with the excellent battle between Leclerc and Verstappen. The race ended up with all the good stuff: good quality race craft, respectful racing, and properly good battles on track.
What tracks and races are you looking forward to?
Even though Australia isn’t usually the most exciting racing, I am looking forward to the race weekend there in a couple weeks time. Since it has been a couple years without it and the fans are diehard I think it will be a pretty great spectacle. For race weekend dinner I am thinking about mixing up the Aussie Burger with the lot by going veg… I’ll let you know how it goes!
