English Garden Salad
Adapted from Gordon Ramsay
For the salad:
1 head Butter lettuce, washed and torn
1/2 head Green or red leaf lettuce, washed and torn
1-2 carrots, thinly sliced
10-12 cherry tomatoes, halved
1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
6 radishes, thinly sliced
A handful of parsley and celery leaves
1 small zucchini, thinly sliced
2 celery sticks, thinly sliced
4 medium-hard boiled eggs (optional)
1 apple, thinly sliced
For the dressing:
1 Tbsp mayonnaise
3 Tbsp olive oil
2-3 Tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp salt
For the salad salt:
Combine sea salt flakes, lemon, and lime zest together
1. In a large bowl, combine all of the salad ingredients together, keeping the eggs and slice apples to the side.
2. Make the salad dressing. Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously to emulsify.
3. Pour the salad dressing over the salad, tossing to mix and cover.
4. Place the salad into a large bowl for serving.
5. Slice the hard boiled eggs in quarters and add on top of the salad (optional).
6. Finally, garnish the salad with thinly sliced apple and season with salad salt.
